Balochistan is disconnected from the rest of the country via road and railway routes. The area-wise biggest province of Pakistan has been disconnected from the rest of the provinces. This is due to recent floods and heavy rainfall in most parts of the country.
Almost all the highways and railways connecting Balochistan with Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remain disconnected as floods wreck havoc in the country.
Quetta to Karachi Highway remains suspended for a week:
The Quetta to Karachi Highway connection Sindh with Balochistan province remains suspended for the last one week due to heavy floods caused by recent rainfall.
Lasbela, the bordering district of Balochistan with Sindh received high floods and road networks were destroyed as a result. The government has asked people to stay in homes for their safety and flee out of those areas which come in the way of water.
Balochistan disconnected Punjab from Fort Monroe:
The flow of traffic on Fort Manro of Dera Ghazi Khan connecting Punjab and Balochistan remains suspended. Recent floods in Musa Khail district of Balochistan wiped out the roads and people are not able to drive. Reports of road damages and transport disconnection were reported from the Musa Khail district of Balochistan. Musa Khail district borders Dera Ghazi Khan of Punjab.
Soil and Land Erosion blocks Sherani to Dera Ismail Khan Highway:
Today the road network connecting Balochistan with KPK was blocked due to soil and land erosion in the mountains of Drazanda, Sherani district. The Assistant Commissioner asked people to avoid travel until government machinery reopens the road and the situation gets stable.
