PMC MDCAT 2022 postponed till further order

The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has postponed its Medical and Dental Colleges Aptitude Test (MDCAT) till further order. Health departments from both Sindh and Balochistan provinces had sent letters to PMC to postpone its MDCAT due to the ongoing floods by torrential rains.

As a result of request from health departments of both the provinces the PMC has decided to postpone its MDCAT till further order. Floods has caused a massive destruction in Pakistan generally and Balochistan particulary making it difficult for us to conduct the test, a health department official told Daily Quetta Voice.

MDCAT delay, nothing new for aspirants: 

Delay or rescheduling of medical entrance test is nothing new for aspirants as it is a repeated process for many years. Right now it’s said that MDCAT will be delayed for a maximum of one or two weeks with floods situation getting normal in the country.

 

Due to torrential rains, flash floods, dysconnectivity of road and rail networks in major areas of Pakistan the PMC has decided to postpone holding MDCAT test till further notice, an official notification included.

Roll Numbers Removed from PMC Website:
On Firday morning the Pakistan Medical Commission issued roll number slips to students for medical entrance tests and a while ago some students complained about the removal of already uploaded roll number slips on the PMC website.

The postponement has been made in the light of aspirants safety and security during the flash floods in Pakistan.

PMC vs PMDC:
A few days ago the senate standing committee for Health passed the PMDC 2022 making it difficult for PMC to continue its work. Right now the PMC has asked the provinces to postpone its MDCAT and requested the aspirants to wait till further notice on their official website.
