The Medical Superintendent (MS) civil hospital Quetta suspended a doctor and a nurse. Last night a baby, who was admitted in nursery died due to the negligence of doctors and nurses.
Some doctors and nurses went on strike in the province’s ancient civil hospital Quetta in the aftermath of a clash between a duty doctor and a nurse. However, the hospital administration held negotiations with both groups to end their strike. This strike resulted in the death of the baby.
A video got viral on the social media in which the father of the baby was describing the reason behind his child’s death.
“I waited 3 hours for the duty staff, but no one was present there”, he stated in the vedio. He blamed the whole health department for his daughter’s death.
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo, took notice of the unpleasant incident that happened in the Children’s Ward of Civil Hospital, Quetta.
The Chief Minister called for the preliminary report of the incident in the hospital, and stated that the actions which directly affects patients will not be tolerated. Chief Minister Instructed the Health Secretary, to do inquiry into the incident and submit a report.
“Strict action will be taken against those who are responsible for the incident”, Chief Minister stated.
