News Desk:

The German government has provided relief items to 1000 families in Balochistan’s flood-hit Lasbela district. The Karachi-based German Consul General, Holger Ziegeler and designated Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Quetta, Mir Murad Baluch were also present on the occasion of food distribution among the flood-affected families.

“ First, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the German Consul General for the generous assistance that they have provided for the grief-stricken flood-affected people of Pakistan, particularly Balochistan”, Murad Baloch said on the occasion.

“I am obliged that on my personal request the project was signed between the German Consulate General and Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP)”, he said.

Thank you for your generous financial support during this tumultuous time, Mr. Baloch told the visiting German Consul General. Secondly, the magnitude of this calamity is massive & unprecedented in the country’s history.

In Balochistan only, almost 85,000 houses have been destroyed, millions of people displaced, their livestock swept away and their agricultural land and crops have been obliterated. This support will help provide much-needed relief to the people. It will take years for people to overcome such a catastrophe, mentally as well, Murad Baloch stated.
