Syed Ali Shah:
Springs in the rugged mountains in Quetta’s Hanna Urak valley were recharged after heavy monsoon rains. The water springs boiled after torrential rains in the valley. Floods wreaked havoc in the lush green valley and thousands of people were affected recently.
A view of clear blue water flowing in beautiful stones attracts tourists. Scores of people gathered around the flowing water to enjoy cold and pleasant weather. “We have seen this water after more than a decade”, Nazar Muhammad, a resident of the Hanna valley told Daily Quetta Voice.
Floods also destroyed thousands of trees and standing crops in the area. Floods also swept away roads, and bridges and inflicted substantial financial losses in the valley. It is very difficult for tourists to drive because of the poor condition of the road.
However, scores of tourists from Balochistan and other parts of the country thronged the lush green valley to enjoy the cold and pleasant weather.
Springs located in the rugged mountains of Hanna Urak dried up because of drought-hit-like situations during the last more than a decade.
