Three young brothers were killed when armed men opened fire on their vehicle in Quetta’s Railway Society area. Police sources said the victims were the sons of Dr. Nasir Khan Achakzai.
They were coming from a wedding ceremony when armed men attacked them. All three were dead on the spot. The assailants escaped unhurt from the spot.
The dead bodies were rushed to civil hospital Quetta. Police reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. The victims’ ages were 8, 12, and 18 years, police said.
“Government fails to protect people’s lives”: Achakzai
”Government has failed to protect the lives of the people”, Asghar Khan Achakzai, the provincial president Awami National Party (ANP) said. This is a barbaric act, he said.
Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the incident and directed the police to apprehend the culprits behind the barbaric act.
The Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh took notice of the incident and ordered the police to submit a report and ensure the arrest of the culprits.
PMA YDA appeal CJ BHC to take suo moto notice
Pakistan Medical Association and Young Doctors Association demanded that Chief Justice Balochistan High Court take suo moto notice of the tragic incident. They lashed out at the police for their failure to protect the lives of the people. “This the worst precedent of barbarism”, Dr. Bahar Shah, the President of YDA said in a statement.
The photos of the three brothers murdered in the firing incident also went viral on social media and people expressed sympathies with the broken parents and demanded the government arrest the culprits.
The dead bodies of the three brothers murdered in the firing incident were shifted to Chaman for burial. Panic prevailed in the border city with Afghanistan in the aftermath of the tragic incident.
