Mir Hamal Kalmati, a member of the Balochistan Assembly on Sunday said that the implementation of development projects worth billions of rupees has been started in the Gwadar district.
A significant amount of money for the construction of blacktopped roads is also included in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), which includes 250 million for Gwadar city, 130 million for Pasni city, 80 million for Jewni, 50 million for Ormarha, 50 million for Peshkan and 50 million for Sarband.
Construction of blacktop street worth Rs: 13 million for the Hindu community
The project includes the construction of a blacktop street worth Rs: 13 million for the Hindu community, including the construction of a boundary wall worth Rs. 13 million, and Rs. 60 million for transformers and poles across the district.
The plan includes the construction of two dams in Ormara, in which 90 million rupees have been allocated for the Pulkani dam and 150 million rupees for the Thusk dam.
“The implementation of various projects for the provision of public health to the people of Gwadar is going on”, Mr. Hamal Kalmati said.
On November 1, the development institution of Gwadar Hospital will be handed over to Indus Hospital, where the people will be provided with basic high-quality modern treatment facilities free of charge.
150-bed Pakistan-China Friendship Hospital
Apart from this, a 150-bed Pakistan-China Friendship Hospital is also under construction to provide better public health facilities to the people, on which work is going on rapidly. At a cost of 3.3 billion rupees, work is underway on various projects to develop the city on modern lines.
An agreement was signed for the supply of additional electricity from Iran to the Gwadar district to improve the electricity system in the Makran division including Gwadar. Apart from this, Makran division including Gwadar is also connected to the national grid station.
