QUETTA: The Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Balochistan, Akhtar Hussain Langove inaugurated the PAC Information System in the provincial assembly on Wednesday.
The inaugural ceremony of the Information System was attended by the members of PAC, provincial assembly, senior government officers and representatives of the civil society.
The Secretary Provincial Assembly, Tahir Shah Kakar highlighted the objectives and importance of the PACIS. He said that the basic objective of the Management Information System is to keep record of different hearings of the PAC, audit paras, monitoring and ensure implementation on the decisions made on the audit paras with respect to concerned departments.
Moreover, the system would also be helpful in preparing different reports and summaries. The record of 35 years long pending paras would also be digitalized through the MIS system.
World Bank also helped in PAC Info System:
The World Bank also helped PAC Balochistan in establishment of Information System in the provincial Assembly. Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman PAC appreciated the support extended by the World Bank’s Governance Policy Project and Accountability Lab for introducing the PACIS in the country.
