Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan has issued an alert on Tuesday in view of rain and snowfall in the province. “ Negligence will not be tolerated and all arrangements must be completed to cope with the expected rain and snowfall” Provincial Minister for PDMA, Mir Zia Ullah Langove said.
The Minister mentioned that teams are directed to remain on high alert in view of possible rains, snowfall, and floods. All machinery has been brought to the national highways, Mr. Langove added.
Pakistan Army, Health Department, Motorway Police, administration of all districts have been taken on board, Director General PDMA Naseer Nasir stated. Missionary and rescue personnel are present in the areas affected by expected rains and snowfall, the DG added.
In view of the possible closure of highways, orders have been issued to vacate all government rest houses in Ziarat. “All arrangements have been completed and teams have been formed to restore traffic on national highways”, Director PDMA Attaullah Mengal said.
Warm clothes have been delivered to PDMA Village in Khan Mehtarzai and PDMA control room is functional as well as in full communication with Deputy Commissioners of all districts, the DG PDMA mentioned.
Deputy Director Admin, Faisal Tariq said that warm clothes have been delivered to the flood affected people of all districts through the concerned Deputy Commissioners.
