Presidential award winner, Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa was elected as the Vice-President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons on Sunday. Dr. Ayesha, the daughter of Balochistan got more than 3,500 votes.

After the success of his panel across the country, in yesterday’s meeting, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal of King Edward Medical University was appointed as the President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, while Prof. Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa was appointed as the Vice-President, and Prof. Muhammad Shoaib Safi as the Senior Vice-President. was selected.

CPSP panel won across Pakistan during the elections

According to the details, the College of Physicians and Surgeons elections were held across the country, in which the Friends of CPSP panel won across the country. The candidate of the said panel from Balochistan, the daughter of Balochistan’s presidential award winner Prof. Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa was declared successful by getting 160 votes from Balochistan and more than 3 thousand 500 votes from across the country, while her rival candidate Prof. Dr. Khan Babar from Balochistan got 80 votes.

Second, Dr. Naqeeb Achakzai was third with 14 votes and Dr. Shoaib Qureshi was second with 12 votes. After the success in the elections, a meeting of the successful candidates from all over the country was held in which Professor Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal of King Edward Medical University was elected as the President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, while Professor Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa was elected as the Vice President of Balochistan.

It is a proud move for Prof. Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa is the first woman who has won the election of the College of Physicians and Surgeons for the second time, but also for the first time a woman from Balochistan has become a professor and doctor who is the vice president of the College of Physicians.
