Spokesman to the Chief Minister Balochistan, Babar Yousafzai on Saturday said that the provincial government has allocated Rs. 5 billion for the health card. The Spokesman to CM Babar Yousafzai and Coordinators to the CM, Shania Khan, and Zulekha Mandokhail visited the civil hospital Quetta and reviewed the provision of medicines to patients.
Mr. Yousafzai said the Balochistan government has allocated billions of rupees to the health sector to improve health services in the remote area of the province. He termed the health card as a revolutionary step by the government to make sure the provision of better health services.
Question mark over governance, if medicines are not available
He, however, admitted that there would be a question mark over the governance if medicines are not available in hospitals despite the allocation of huge amounts.
The spokesman to CM and coordinators to the CM interacted with patients and attendants and inquired about their issues in the civil hospital Quetta. The Medical Superintendent of the civil hospital Quetta, Dr. Ishaq Panezai briefed them about the issues of the hospital and the government’s initiatives to provide free and quality health to the masses.
Non-redressal of the problems faced by the public will not be tolerated: Yousafzai
In such circumstances, non-redressal of the problems faced by the public will not be accepted under any circumstances, Babar Yousafzai warned. For any type of complaint, including non-supply of medicines, the public should file a report in the CM Complaint Cell, he told the patients and attendants.
Notice public complaints and action against those responsible would be taken. Babar Yousafzai said that provincial health minister Syed Ehsan Shah is also trying to improve the health sector and he has always taken serious notice of reports based on public complaints.
The problem of shortage of staff has come to the fore. Chief Minister will convey the problems and concerns of the MS and hospital administration and solve all the problems faced in the civil hospital to make it an ideal medical institution run under the auspices of the government, Yousfazi added.
