The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir presided over the 4th meeting of the UG Academic Council held at the university conference room.

The meeting was attended by the members of academic council committee Pro Vice-Chancellor UG Prof. Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, Secretary of Higher and Technical Education Balochistan Hafiz Abdul Majid, Registrar UG Dolat Khan, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Jan Muhammad, Director QEC & Controller Examination Dr. Kambar Farooq, Director ORIC Muhammad Irshad, Chairman Education Department Mukhtar Bashir, Chairman of Commerce Department Zain-Ul- Abideen, Chairman Management Sciences Department Fida Hussain, Chairman Computer Science Department Hafeez Ullah, Chairman Chemistry department Madam Shahnaz Noor, Chairman English department Madam Sadia Naseer, lecturer Haimgul and UG’s librarian Ghulam Sarwar.

Academic council decisions affect future of generations: VC

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said that the academic council in universities and its decisions affect the future of generations, therefore, universities are considered as the center and source of moral change and social development. The existence and success of universities ensure the national existence and success of nations. He said that universities not only play their role in the economic development of countries but also bring social reforms, enlightenment, intellectual awareness, and awareness among the people.

Pro-VC briefs the members of council

Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Syed described the academic performance of the university in detail. Apart from this, the other members assured the Vice Chancellor that they would offer their expertise and services to provide quality education and better services to the students.

After detailed deliberations, various important decisions were taken. New courses were introduced in various subjects and approval of academic and research plans, approval of the third meeting of the academic council, and the publication of a research journal from the University of Gwadar was also approved.

University Registrar presented the agenda

Earlier, University Registrar and Council Secretary Dolat Khan presented the agenda in the House for discussion. The members of the House assured the Vice-Chancellor of their full cooperation in the efforts to raise the academic standards of the University.

In the end, the Vice-Chancellor thanked all the members and especially Secretary of Higher Education Hafiz Abdul Majid for their valuable services and participation in the meeting and presented them with commemorative shields.
