District Awaran administration registered a case against three levies men allegedly forcing and blackmailing Najma Baloch to commit suicide in Balochistan’s Awaran district. Parents and family members termed the incident as a murder and demanded an exemplary punishment for all three accused levies personnel.

“The Story Ends Here” were the last words on black board of Najma Baloch, the young committed teacher in her school, locals and residents of the area recalled.

According to Assistant Commissioner Awaran, Khusro Dilavari, the investigation into the suicide incident of Najma Baloch has been started. Deputy Commissioner Awaran has suspended the Levies official and formed an inquiry committee headed by me, the AC informed.

The incident happened in Gishkor area of Awaran

On the request of the family members, the police have registered a case against three accused including the Levies official in the Gishkor police station of Awaran.

According to the police officer of Awaran, twelve days after the incident, we received an application, on which we filed a complaint filed by Najma’s uncle, Dil Murmrad Baloch, against Levies officials Noor Bakhsh, Muhammad Yusuf and Sudhir under Sections 322 and 509 of the Pakistan Penal Code related to murder and sexual harassment.

A case has been registered against the accused and a police have arrested the accused Sudhir while raids are being conducted to arrest the others. Gulzar Dost Baloch a member of a local human right commission demanded transparent investigation into the incident.

Mr. Baloh also recorded protest out side the Awaran Police station the other day. The sad news of Najma went viral on social media with people demanding justice for the broken parents.

Dilsard Baloch, the father of Najma Baloch told Daily Quetta Voice via telephone now the three hundred students of the village are deprived of getting education after the sad demise of his daughter. “We demand justice for Najma”, he concluded with burst of tears in his eyes.
