The Balochistan government recommended Dr. Khalid Hafeez as the Vice-Chancellor of the Balochistan University of Information Technology Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS). On June 5, 2023, the Balochistan government recommended Dr. Khalid Hafeez as the VC BUITEMS.
Dr. Khalid Hafeez was the first ever Pakistani, and from Balochistan to complete his PhD in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics in 1992 from Cardiff University UK, a world famous institution in this field. Dr. Khalid Hafeez had passed his primary from Pishin district of Balochistan and then his matriculation from the Technical High School Quetta in 1976.
He has also published more than 100 journal papers in world top journals in USA, Canada and UK. The new VCs research is used by more than 3400 research in the US, UK and all over the world. Dr. Khalid Hafeez has also written two books and edited world top quality journals. Khalid Hafeez has supervised more than 25 PhD students from Germany, UK, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, UAE, Egypt, to completion. His students are now serving as professors and Deans in Pakistan, Malaysia, Egypt, and ministers in Libya.
