Three policemen martyred in a terrorist attack were laid to rest in Balochistan’s Zhob district on Monday. The funeral prayer of the martyred policemen was offered at the number-1 ground Zhob.

Thousands turned out to participate in the funeral prayer. The angry relatives and almost all political parties have been staging a protest demonstration outside the Commissioner’s office in Zhob.

The protester have been demanding the arrest of the culprits behind the attack. Supporters of the Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), Awami National Party (ANP), Jamiat ul ulema e Islam (JUI) and other political parties are part of the protest demonstration.

Commissioner Zhob Division, Saeed Ahmed Umrani and other senior administration officials held negotiations with the protesting political parties. The protesters agreed to bury the martyred policemen. However, the protest is still underway.

At least four security personnel including three policemen and a frontier corps were martyred in a terrorist attack in the Sherani district of Balochistan. The outlawed Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed the responsibility for the attack.
