A ban has been imposed on the leave of all police personnel and officers posted in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Azfar Maehsar issued an order banning holidays.
A notification was also issued by the police department in this regard. In the notification, it has been said that there will be a ban on the holidays of police personnel and officers posted in Quetta city, this ban has been imposed in view of Muharram ul Haram.
Instructions have been issued to all concerned officers to ban holidays. The notification states that Muharram will start from July 19 if the moon was visible.
Balochistan government evolves a security plan
The Balochistan government has evolved a strong security plan to make sure peace on the eve of Muharram ul Haram. Besides police, personnel from the Frontier Corps would also be deployed at all sensitive points in the provincial capital.
Quetta has witnessed worst kinds of sectarian terrorist incidents in the past. Terrorist acts have claimed scores of precious human lives in this provincial capital.
