QUETTA: The students of Bolan Medical University have announced to stage a protest demonstration against the continued closure of classes. Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club on Tuesday, Ajmal Khan Achakzai, the central leader of the Pashtoonkhwa Students Organization (PSO) lamented that the boycott of classes by teachers has already wasted their seven months of studies.
“We will stage a protest demonstration inside the medical university tomorrow”, one of the students addressing a press conference announced. He said classes were overcrowded and there were no basic facilities for the students.
BMC teachers have been observing strike against the government
Senior teachers of the university have been protesting against the provincial government for acceptance of their demands. They are demanding an increase in their teaching and other allowances.
The students complained that it takes seven years for a student to complete the MBBS at the Bolan medical university. Although it takes students the specified five years across the country for getting the MBBS degree, the protesting students mentioned.
