QUETTA: The Chairman Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE), Ejaz Baloch suspended an official for allegedly harassing a female candidate and ordered an inquiry against him.
Controller of Examinations Abida Kakar spoke to the media on Tuesday and briefed the reporters about the incident. Additional Secretary Board Shamsullah Khan, Additional Controller Haji Muhammad Anwar, and Deputy Controller Faridaullah Shah were also present on this occasion.
Inquiry committee formed
Controller of Examinations Balochistan Abida Kakar said that yesterday taking immediate notice of the viral post on social media, Balochistan Board Chairman Ijaz Azeem Baloch has ordered an impartial investigation and has formed a high-level committee in which the Controller of Examinations is the Chairman, while Haji Muhammad Anwar, Additional Controller, is among the members.
Faridaullah Shah Deputy Controller is also part of the committee. This committee will review all the motives and submit its report within three days. Also, if a woman has a complaint of harassment related to an official of the board office, then she should approach the committee, keeping her information confidential, she will be provided full protection and justice and action will be taken against the officials involved, the Controller Examinations made it clear.
Otherwise, if none comes forward and lodges a report, the board the management would be right to understand that this is an organized conspiracy to tarnish the reputation of the board office, she concluded.
