QUETTA: The dead body of the Portuguese tourist was brought to the civil hospital Quetta. The Portuguese tourist identified as Nuno Miguel Vilao Castanheria, 28, crossed into Pakistan from Iran on Wednesday evening on his motorbike.
The tourist was on his way to Quetta with two German tourists, Tony Pankraz Linder and Nikolas Lang, who were also traveling on their bikes. The riders were being escorted by Levies personnel when Mr. Castanheria’s motorbike collided with a pickup truck.
The 28-year-old tourist was on a journey in 50 countries
The 28-year-old Portuguese tourist was dead on the spot. Two people inside the pick-up sustained injuries. They were rushed to the Dalbandin Hospital for medical treatment. The dead body of the Portuguese tourist was brought to the civil hospital Quetta. Waseem Baig, the Spokesman of the hospital said the dead body was received by the hospital administration. So far, none has approached us about the dead body, Mr. Baig said.
The Balochistan Home and Tribal Affairs Department wrote a letter to the Foreign Office to contact the Portugal Embassy in Islamabad with regard to the death of the tourist. The dead body of the tourist would be handed over to the Portugal embassy.

Narrow roads and reckless driving have claimed thousands of precious human lives across Balochistan. Such untoward incidents have almost become the order of the day on Quetta-Karachi, Zhob highway and other highways of the province.
