CHAMAN: Angry tribesmen blocked the main Quetta Chaman highway against the arrest of two accused from the Machka area of district Killa Abdullah on Thursday. The angry tribesmen chanted full-throated slogans against the administration and demanded the release of the two accused from the custody of the police.

Law enforcement agencies conducted a raid and picked up two accused from the Killi Machka area of the Killa Abdullah district. Long queues of vehicles were witnessed on both sides of the road against the arrest of the accused.

Senior administration officials reached the spot and held successful negotiations with protesters. Subsequently, the protesters reopened the highway linking Pakistan with Afghanistan.
