QUETTA: The Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Ali Mardan Domki has made it clear that talks with disgruntled Baloch leaders can only be held as per the policy of the State. “Balochistan has been facing a host of issues”, CM Domki told reporters.
The Chief Minister stated that law and order was an important issue for his government and maintaining peace was one of the top priorities of his government. “Peace and fair elections are our top priorities”, Mr. Domki mentioned.
CM addressed all administrative secretaries
The caretaker CM also addressed a meeting of all administrative secretaries of Balochistan and urged them to play their due role in the development and prosperity of the province. The newly appointed Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
The CM directed all administrative secretaries to ensure good governance and improve day-to-day government affairs to make sure the holding of fair and transparent elections in Balochistan. He said administrative secretaries were playing an important role in strengthening the system and improving governance.
Secretaries should be punctual: CM Domki
Ensure that all secretaries are punctual and also oblige the subordinate officers and officials, he directed the officers. All of us will move forward according to the rules and regulations and the traditions of Balochistan, he stated.
Govt officers are not happy to go on strike, their grievances would be addressed, Mr. Domki said.
Although, he said urged the officers to show patience and tolerance in this regard. He said the BSS and BCS position will be reviewed and a solution will be found as per the aspirations of the officers.
“I assumed the post of Chief Minister two days ago”, the Chief Minister said.
“As a son of this land, I am well aware of the problems of Balochistan and the grievances of the people”, he concluded.
