DUKKI: District Chairman Haji Khairullah recently played a pivotal role in facilitating negotiations between key stakeholders involved in the three-day sit-in and the closure of coal loading in the Meraj Coal Mining Area. The talks involved representatives from Anjaman Traders, the Coal Association, and the National Labor Federation.
Member of the Central Executive Committee of Coal Mines Owner Muhammad Akbar Khan Nasir also took part in the negotiations. The discussions took place at the sit-in ground and led to a successful agreement between the parties. Notable figures like Haji Pirjan Nasir, Haji Izzat Khan Nasir, Hameed Khan Nasir, and others participated in these critical negotiations.
As a result of the discussions, a mutual decision was reached to postpone the three-day dharna and the coal strike, which had caused significant disruptions in the Meraj Coal Mining Area. During this period, coal loading had come to a complete halt, affecting the supply of coal across the entire country.
In the agreed terms, the parties committed to taking steps to ensure the security of the Meraj area for the next three days. This would enable the resumption of mining and loading operations. However, it was emphasized that if the demands put forth during the negotiations were not promptly implemented, the protest would resume on the third day
