QUETTA: Nawabzada Khalid Magsi was elected as the central president of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) on Sunday evening.

Mr. Magsi was elected as the president of BAP during the central council session of the party in Quetta.

All central leaders including Senator Saeed Ahmed Hashmi, Sardar Saleh Bhootani, chairman senate Sadiq Sanjrani, speaker Balochistan Assembly, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali and others also participated in the session.

“This is a Balochistan based party”, Mr. Magsi told reporters after his election. He said Balochistan had no proper representation in the National Assembly.
