QUETTA: In a tragic incident on Friday, Jamil Ahmed, a police head constable, was fatally shot while guarding a polio vaccination team in the Eastern Bypass area of the provincial capital. Ahmed sustained a bullet wound during the morning hours, prompting an immediate shift to the Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Regrettably, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the killing of the policeman remain shrouded in mystery, as there has been no official statement regarding the incident. Senior police officials have arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation to determine the details leading up to the tragic event.
