GWADAR: In the wake of recent devastating torrential rains in Gwadar, Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti has pledged swift action to repair the damaged infrastructure and restore normalcy. Assurances of full cooperation from the federal government have bolstered efforts towards rehabilitation, ensuring that emergency measures will persist until the area is fully restored, the newly elected CM Balochistan assured.

This visit came two days after Mr. Bugti visited the port city of the country to review relief and rescue operations.

Bugti accompanied Prime Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, and emphasized the paramount importance of addressing the plight of the affected residents. Expressing gratitude to Sharif, he voiced optimism for a collaborative effort between federal and provincial authorities to expedite the rehabilitation process.

Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari extended solidarity to the victims, urging concerted action from both the provincial government and party leadership to alleviate their suffering.

Highlighting the valiant efforts of the Pakistan Army and civil administration, Bugti commended their proactive role in rescuing countless lives and facilitating swift evacuations during the crisis. The concerted emergency operations, led by provincial authorities, have begun to restore normalcy in Gwadar, with ongoing efforts slated to continue until full recovery is achieved.

In a heartening display of solidarity, Bugti assured the affected families that they are not alone in their struggle, reaffirming the provincial government’s unwavering commitment to their rehabilitation. Promising to utilize all available resources, he pledged to resettle the victims in their homes and ensure their well-being remains a top priority.

Accompanied by esteemed members of the National Assembly and senior provincial officials, Chief Minister Bugti personally interacted with affected families, overseeing relief efforts and distributing essential supplies to alleviate their hardship.

As Balochistan rallies together to overcome this adversity, the resolve of its leadership and the unity of its people stand as beacons of hope amidst the challenges faced by Gwadar.
