QUETTA: In a solemn tribute to the sacrifices made by law enforcement against the scourge of terrorism, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Shaikh led the inauguration of the School of Investigation and Police Firing Range at the Police Training College Quetta on Friday, symbolizing a steadfast commitment to bolstering security measures. Accompanied by the Deputy Commandant PTC Aurangzeb and Chief Law Instructor Rehmatullah Banglazai AIG Development, IG Shaikh laid the foundation stone, marking the commencement of a significant endeavor.

During the inauguration, IG Police Balochistan was provided with a comprehensive overview of the complex’s potential contributions to the Department of Investigation, highlighting its strategic importance in enhancing investigative capabilities. Emphasizing the pivotal role of the School of Investigation, top officials reaffirmed their dedication to fortifying the Balochistan Police upon the completion of the complex.

Addressing the gathering, IG Balochistan underscored the imperative of equipping law enforcement with not only traditional operational skills but also with contemporary methodologies essential for combatting modern-day crime. He emphasized that combating crime requires a blend of traditional expertise and adaptation to evolving criminal tactics, a process facilitated by institutions like the School of Investigation.

Looking ahead, IG Balochistan outlined plans to replicate such initiatives across other police training centers, aiming to standardize investigative procedures through education and training with a rigorous curriculum. He emphasized that only those officers who demonstrate proficiency and adhere to stringent criteria, including fitness and training from the School of Investigation, will be entrusted with significant responsibilities, ensuring a cadre of highly qualified law enforcement professionals dedicated to upholding peace and security within society.
