Assistant Commissioner Mangochar, Wakeel Kakar died of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday morning at Quetta’s Sheikh Zayed hospital. Kakar was tested positive few days back and admitted to the hospital after the deterioration of his health condition.

Late Kakar was serving as an Assistant Commissioner, Khaliqabad when contracted the deadly virus and was considered to be a dynamic officer in the province.

Munir Ahmed Kakar, a leader of the PTI also breathed his last. Circumstances leading to Kakar’s death could not be ascertained immediately. Kakar was considered to be one of the founding members of the ruling party in Balochistan.

Abdul Qayoum Achakzai, the Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) chief Islamabad also died on Tuesday. Friends and family members said Achakzai died of protracted illness.

Deaths of aged people appear to be on a constant rise in Quetta and other parts of the province. social media pages and newspapers have been publishing news and are full of deaths news every day.

These deaths have come a day after the former Balochistan industries minister, Sardar Dur Muhammad Nasar and Hashim Khan Panezai of the PTI died of the deadly virus. Both have been buried at their ancestral graveyards.
