QUETTA: In a significant tribute to the sacrifices made by public servants, the Government Boys College Hoshab has been renamed after Shaheed Deputy Commissioner Zakir Baloch. The announcement was made by the Balochistan government spokesperson, Shahid Rind, following the approval of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
A Fitting Tribute to a Dedicated Officer
Shaheed Zakir Baloch, a young and talented officer known for his dedication to education, was martyred while on duty. In recognition of his service and the ultimate sacrifice he made, the Higher Education Department has officially issued a notification to rename the college in his honor.
Recognition from the Highest Level
Further elevating the honor, President Asif Ali Zardari has announced that Shaheed Zakir Baloch will be awarded the highest civilian honor posthumously. This recognition underscores the profound impact of his work and the loss felt across the province.
