QUETTA: Former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, met with the current Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, on Tuesday to discuss the recent surge in violence in the province and other pressing issues, particularly those affecting the Mekran belt.

Focus on Recent Attacks

The meeting was primarily centered around the recent attacks in Balochistan, which have heightened concerns over security in the region. Both leaders expressed their deep concern over the escalating violence, emphasizing the need for a coordinated approach to restore peace and stability.

Mekran Belt and Other Issues

In addition to the security situation, the two leaders discussed issues specific to the Mekran belt, a region facing various socio-economic challenges. Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch highlighted the need for enhanced development efforts in the area to address long-standing grievances.
