QUETTA: A large number of people in Balochistan’s Western city of Noshki marched on the roads to condemn the killing of Samiullah Mengal reportedly by narcotics smugglers. The protesters brought the dead of Samiullah Mengal on the road and urged upon the district administration apprehend the culprits involved in the cold-blooded murder of a young man. “We want justice and the arrest of culprits”, Adam Khan Mengal, an elder of Noshki told the protesters.

The protesters chanted full-throated slogans against the drug smugglers and the arrest of culprits involved in the cold-blooded murder of Sami Mengal.

The young man Sami was a student of BS Zoology in the Balochistan University. Locals say Samiullah Mengal was playing an active role against the curse of narcotics in Noshki and other parts of Balochistan. District Noshki borders with neighboring Afghanistan and has been severely affected by the drug smuggling.

Adam Khan Mengal said that Sami had pinpointed the names of drug smugglers in an open court before the commissioner Rakhshan Division and that was the underlying reason behind his murder.

The FIR was lodged against the culprits on the part of family members of Sami Mengal. According to the statement of commissioner Rakhshan division, Ayaz Mandokhail two relatives of the accused were arrested by police. The relatives of Samiullah have nominated a police constable allegedly involved in the murder case.
