From Our Correspondent:

KARACHI – Police conducted a raid at the residence of former caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sardar Saleh Bhootani, in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi, sources revealed on Monday. The raid, carried out by Balochistan police with the assistance of Sindh police, has sparked accusations of political victimization.

According to Sardar Saleh Bhootani, who spoke to Quetta Voice via telephone, the raid took place without any legal grounds. “They conducted a raid without any legal authority,” Bhootani remarked, strongly condemning the action as a targeted effort linked to ongoing political tensions.

Bhootani’s criticism comes amid concerns about growing political pressure and intimidation. The purpose of the raid remains unclear, and no further details were immediately available about the outcome of the operation.

No statements were issued by the Balochistan or Sindh police at the time of this report. Bhootani, a prominent political figure, has held several key positions in the province and his supporters have rallied against what they term as politically motivated actions.
