HARNAI: A coal miner tragically lost his life in a landslide while working deep inside a coal mine in the Shahrag area of District Harnai.

Levies sources reported that the miner was carrying out his duties when the sudden landslide occurred, trapping him under debris.

Rescue teams managed to retrieve the body, and it was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for further procedures.

The incident highlights the persistent dangers miners face in Balochistan’s coal mining industry, where hazardous working conditions continue to claim the lives of workers.

This tragedy has once again raised concerns about the safety standards in the region’s coal mines.

The lack of adequate safety measures and proper equipment to protect workers puts their lives at constant risk. Local authorities are urged to enforce stricter regulations to ensure the safety of laborers and prevent further loss of life.

Despite multiple accidents and fatalities, coal mining continues to be one of the most dangerous professions in the region, affecting countless families.
