QUETTA: A local court in Quetta has sentenced a private school teacher to three months imprisonment and fined him Rs. 30,000 for torturing a student.

Judicial Magistrate Sariab, Sherina Dawood, delivered the verdict against the teacher, identified as Rehmatullah, who was immediately arrested and sent to prison following the ruling.

The court’s judgment came after evidence was presented showing the teacher’s misconduct towards a student under his care, sparking concern among parents and the community.

This case highlights the ongoing challenges in ensuring safe environments in educational institutions and enforcing legal standards against abuse in Balochistan.
