Chamalang, Balochistan – In a violent incident, armed men targeted coal trucks on the Chamalang-Mekhtar Road near the Kali Kuch area, setting three trucks on fire and injuring a driver.

The attack occurred as trucks were transporting coal from Mekhtar to Punjab, while one truck was traveling empty from Mekhtar to Chamalang.

According to Levies sources, the assailants opened fire on the trucks before setting them ablaze.

A truck driver, identified as Habibullah Hamzazai, sustained injuries in the gunfire and was transported to Loralai for medical treatment. Habibullah, a resident of Mekhtar, was reportedly driving one of the loaded coal trucks.

Following the incident, Levies and security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers. Sources indicate that the armed men may have escaped to nearby mountainous areas.
