A policeman sustained injuries in a blast on Quetta’s Western Bypass early Friday morning. Police officials reported that unidentified assailants threw a hand-held bomb, injuring the policeman before fleeing the scene.
The injured officer was immediately taken to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital for treatment. Police and security forces reached the site to initiate an investigation into the incident.
Following the attack, security measures were heightened across Quetta, with additional personnel deployed to maintain law and order. The police have launched a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
This incident underscores the need for enhanced security in the provincial capital, which has faced similar attacks in the city.
