QUETTA: The Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) has announced its support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate in the upcoming NA-262 by-election.

PKMAP President Qahar Wadan, speaking at a press conference at the Quetta Press Club, confirmed the decision, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to address the region’s challenges and ensure development.

The by-election for NA-262 was called after the disqualification of PML-N’s Adil Bazai due to defection. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, polling is scheduled for January 16, 2025.

•Nomination Submission: December 4–6, 2024

•Initial Candidate List: December 7, 2024

•Scrutiny of Nominations: December 12, 2024

•Final Candidate List: December 22, 2024

•Symbol Allotment: December 24, 2024
