QUETTA: Federal Minister for Commerce and Industries Jam Kamal Khan disclosed on Friday that a 2.5-year power-sharing agreement exists between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for governing Balochistan.
Speaking to Daily Quetta Voice in an exclusive interview , Jam Kamal revealed that the arrangement was decided before the formation of the provincial government. “We allowed the PPP to lead during the first half, and PML-N will take over for the remaining tenure,” he stated.
Despite speculations, Jam Kamal dismissed rumors of any changes in the provincial setup, emphasizing that the government is performing well. “The provincial government is taking all coalition partners into confidence regarding key issues,” he added.

Jam Kamal also addressed the need for a structured approach to allocating funds under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP). He proposed a mechanism where no project worth less than PKR 10 million should be included. “It’s better to collect two major projects instead of dividing funds into smaller, less impactful ones,” he explained.
This revelation comes as Balochistan faces challenges in development and governance, with coalition partners working to ensure stability in the province.
