The Balochistan High Court has directed the issuance of show-cause notices and bailable arrest warrants against striking officials of the Grand Health Alliance during a petition hearing regarding the disruption of services in government hospitals across the province.

A two-member bench, comprising Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Malakhil and Justice Shaukat Ali Rakhshani, instructed the Additional Secretary of Health to provide a detailed list of striking officials within 24 hours. Bailable warrants worth Rs. 50,000/- were ordered, to be executed by SSP Quetta or the concerned SP in other districts, with non-compliant officials facing arrest and mandatory court appearances.

The court also criticized the Health Department’s inefficiency, highlighting the wrongful transfer of Rs. 633,232,712/- to PGMI and obstacles in the release of stipends to PGMI trainees and BMC house officers. The Additional Secretary was tasked with personally overseeing these matters.

The court condemned the behavior of Grand Health Alliance officials, terming it unfit for government service, and called for contempt of court proceedings to ensure compliance and restore health services in the province.
