From Our Correspondent:

Mastung: Frustrated by a week-long power outage, residents of Mastung Parangabad took to the road on Monday, blocking the Quetta-Karachi National Highway at Jungle Cross. The protest caused significant traffic disruption as vehicles were stranded on both sides of the highway.

The protesters, including women and children, gathered on the highway, holding banners and chanting slogans against prolonged power outages. They expressed their anger and disappointment, demanding immediate restoration of electricity.

Residents accused officials of failing to address their complaints despite repeated appeals. We have been left without electricity for an entire week, said one protester, highlighting the authorities inaction.

The highway blockade led to a major traffic jam, causing inconvenience to commuters and transporters. The protesters vowed to continue their demonstration until their demands were met and electricity was restored.

The situation highlights growing dissatisfaction among citizens over inadequate power supply and administrative negligence.
