QUETTA: The Balochistan government has constituted a fact-finding inquiry tribunal to investigate the targeted killing of four Levies personnel in Draban, Dera Ismail Khan.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department of Balochistan, the tribunal will be led by the Commissioner of Quetta Division, with Additional Secretary III of the Home Department serving as member and secretary.
The government has directed the tribunal to submit its report within seven days, covering the causes of the incident, any potential negligence, and identification of those responsible. The report will also include recommendations to prevent such attacks in the future.
Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind stated that the sacrifices of the Levies Force are deeply valued, and the government stands with the families of the martyrs. He assured that those responsible will be brought to justice and that all possible measures are being taken to improve law and order in the province.
The targeted attack on Levies personnel occurred on February 1 in Draban, prompting the Balochistan government to order a high-level investigation immediately.
