Sardar Muhammad Khondai:
Chaman: A significant terror plot in Chaman was thwarted as Pakistan security forces and intelligence agencies conducted a successful counter-terrorism operation in the Guldar Baghicha area. During the raid, authorities seized a massive cache of illegal arms, explosive devices, and communication equipment from a hideout linked to a banned terrorist organization, security sources reported.
During the anti-terror operation, security forces recovered anti-personnel mines, rocket launchers, and grenade launchers, preventing a potential large-scale terrorist attack. The raid also led to the discovery of hand grenades, prima cord explosives, and safety pins, which were carefully concealed inside the terrorist hideout, officials confirmed.
Further intelligence revealed that the terrorists in Chaman had stocked anti-aircraft mortar shells and a satellite phone, indicating the possibility of a high-level coordination effort for planned terror attacks, security sources stated.
According to Pakistan security officials, the confiscated weapons and ammunition were intended for a major terrorist attack in Pakistan, which has now been averted due to the timely action of law enforcement agencies.
Authorities continue to investigate the terrorist network behind the weapons cache, and further counter-terrorism operations in Balochistan are expected as part of a broader effort to dismantle terrorist groups in Pakistan. The successful operation underscores the vigilance of security forces in preventing threats to national security and maintaining peace in Balochistan.
