QILA SAIFULLAH – A Levies official, Ishaq Khan, was martyred on Monday after unknown armed men opened fire in the Bandat Pasenzai area of Qila Saifullah district, according to local sources.
The incident took place in a remote part of the district, where Levies personnel were reportedly performing their duties when suddenly targeted by gunmen. Ishaq Khan sustained critical injuries and succumbed to his wounds on the spot.
Law enforcement agencies reached the site immediately and launched a search operation to trace the attackers. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
The martyrdom of Ishaq Khan has sparked grief among his family and fellow Levies officials. Tributes poured in on social media, with many calling him a brave officer who served with dedication.
Security in the area remains tense following the incident. Authorities have vowed to bring the culprits to justice and ensure the protection of security personnel in the region.
