A tragic incident unfolded on the National Highway near Dato area in Mastung, where a police officer was shot and killed by unknown assailants outside a roadside hotel, according to police sources.

The victim has been identified as Shakeel Bangulzai, a member of the law enforcement community who was not on active duty at the time of the incident. He was also known for being the nephew of respected local figure Mama Noor Ahmed Bangulzai.
Eyewitnesses reported sudden gunfire, followed by panic in the area as the attackers quickly fled. Law enforcement agencies responded immediately, securing the scene and initiating a criminal investigation.
