In a significant administrative development, the Government of Pakistan has promoted senior police officer Aetzaz Ahmed Goraya from BS-19 to BS-20 in the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). The notification was issued by the Establishment Division and takes effect immediately.

Mr. Goraya is currently serving in Balochistan, one of the country’s most strategically important yet security-sensitive provinces. According to the official notice, his services will remain with the Government of Balochistan until further orders.

The notification, signed by Ejaz Ahmad, Deputy Secretary to the Government of Pakistan, has been circulated to key government offices including the Prime Minister’s Office, President’s Secretariat, and provincial police departments, reflecting the high-level nature of this promotion.

The promotion of Aetzaz Ahmed Goraya is seen as a positive step for strengthening the law enforcement framework in Balochistan, where experienced leadership in the police force is crucial for maintaining peace and security.
