Quetta, July 18, 2025 — A vehicle carrying officers from the Balochistan Constabulary came under attack near Choto on the National Highway in Mastung district.

According to Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind, unidentified armed assailants opened fire on the official vehicle, which was carrying senior personnel including an acting DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police).

As per initial reports, one officer lost his life while three others sustained injuries in the attack. The injured have been shifted to the nearest hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Shahid Rind further stated that security forces and law enforcement agencies promptly reached the scene. The area has been cordoned off, and a search operation is underway to track down the attackers.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan has taken notice of the incident and directed police and security agencies to submit a detailed report.

The Balochistan government termed the incident unfortunate and assured that those involved in the attack will be brought to justice.
