FIA Foils Illegal Sea Route Attempt to Iran, 56 Arrested in Gwadar

 

Gwadar: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Composite Circle Gwadar has foiled an attempt to illegally travel to Iran via sea, arresting 56 individuals, including Afghan nationals.

According to FIA, those arrested include 16 from Mandi Bahauddin, 13 from Gujranwala, 8 from Gujrat, 2 from Sheikhupura, 5 from Muzaffargarh, 3 from Bahawalpur, 2 from Bajaur, and 5 others from Sargodha, Karachi, Sanghar, Hafizabad, and Khanewal. Two Afghan nationals were also among those detained.

The suspects were arrested from Jiwani while attempting to cross into Iran illegally. Initial investigations revealed that the individuals planned to travel further to other countries after entering Iran.

FIA spokesperson confirmed that cases have been registered against the arrested suspects and investigations are underway.
