66 Science Math schools to be established in Balochistan

The Federal government has decided to establish 66 Science, Technology, English and Math (STEM) schools across Balochistan to impart quality and modern education to students. This was revealed by Secretary Secondary Education Balochistan, Ghulam Ali Baloch while talking to the daily Quetta Voice on Friday evening.

The Federal Ministry of Science and Technology would select the schools across the province to enable the students to compete on the national and international levels. The schools i.e. one for girls and one for boys would be set up in all 33 districts of Balochistan to equip male and female students with modern and latest education skills, Ghulam Ali Baloch mentioned.

The Federal Ministry of Science and Technology has decided to establish 450 schools across the country in this regard, Mr. Baloch informed. A committee of foreign qualified experts is being formed to coordinate and train the relevant staff on the new approach, he added.

The program would run under the supervision of universities in the province and services of existing staff from math, science and technology would be utilized. The Balochistan government has already decided to recruit 450 information technology teachers to impart modern technology’s education to students.
