From Our Correspondent:

Sui – At least three people, including a woman and a child, were killed while six others sustained injuries after two landmine explosions near Lanjo Saghari, close to the Balochistan-Sindh border in Sui tehsil.

According to initial reports, security officials said the victims were traveling when the deadly blasts occurred. The deceased have been identified as Ali Jat and his young daughter, along with another woman. Several of the injured, most of them women belonging to the Dinari tribe, were rushed to Indus Hospital Sui by Levies personnel who arrived promptly at the scene.

Local sources confirmed that the explosions left families devastated, with children among the casualties. The incident has once again raised concerns about the lingering threat of landmines in Balochistan, which continue to claim precious lives in Dera Bugti and other districts of the province.

Authorities have not yet confirmed who planted the mines, but investigations are underway.

This is a developing story, and updates will follow as more information becomes available.
