The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has announced a major operation against human trafficking, arresting 11 individuals attempting to cross illegally into Iran by sea.
According to FIA officials, the Composite Circle team in Gwadar carried out the operation near Jiwani, intercepting the suspects before they could set off on their journey. Among the detainees, five are Afghan nationals while six belong to different districts of Punjab.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the group intended to enter Iran unlawfully and later travel onwards to other destinations. The FIA confirmed that cases have been registered against the accused, and formal investigations are underway.
The agency reiterated its commitment to combating illegal border crossings and human trafficking networks, adding that all available resources are being deployed to curb such activities along the coastal belt.
