— The Balochistan High Court has issued strict directives to the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), ordering it to withdraw all excess gas bills for October 2025 within one week and issue corrected bills in accordance with the court’s earlier judgment dated June 13, 2024.

The order was passed by a two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Rozi Khan Bareech and Justice Sardar Muhammad Helmi during the hearing of a constitutional petition filed by Advocate Syed Nazir Agha.

During the proceedings, the petitioner informed the court that the SSGC had violated previous court orders by issuing unusually high bills, some exceeding Rs. 6,000 per consumer. Expressing strong displeasure, the court directed the gas authorities to immediately withdraw all inflated bills and reissue accurate ones.

Advocate Syed Nazir Agha also highlighted the ongoing problems of gas load shedding and low gas pressure across Balochistan, which continue to cause hardship for citizens. In response, Chief Justice Bareech ordered that Balochistan must be given priority in gas supply to ensure public relief.

The court adjourned the hearing until November 18, 2025, and instructed SSGC to submit a compliance report detailing the implementation of the court’s order.
